Edhe njëherë ambasadori amerikan ne Tirane, Aleksander Arvizu i ka bere thirrje klasës politike shqiptare te ece përpara me reformat për demokratizimin e vendit si e vetmja rruge drejt integrimit evropian.
Ne një forum për procesin e demokratizimit ne rajonin tone ku merrnin pjese edhe përfaqësues nga Kosova, Maqedonia, Mali i Zi dhe Serbia, ambasadori Arvizu ka theksuar se procesi e demokratizimit nuk është i lehte, por i domosdoshëm për te ardhmen e shoqërisë. "ShBA dhe BE kane mbështetur gjithmonë një linje te qarte qe i tregon Shqipërisë rrugën drejt integrimit dhe kjo linje është e përmbledhur ne 12 rekomandimet qe u publikuan ne progres-raportin e vjetshëm dhe qe u theksuan nga Komisioni Evropian edhe këtë vit. Nuk duhet te ketë paqartësi tek liderët politike se çfarë duhet bere. Ata duhet te mbajnë përgjegjësi te përbashkëta, sepse edhe përfitimet do te jene për te gjithë," është shprehur Arvizu. Sipas ambasadorit amerikan ne Tirane, demokratizimi është një proces qe kërkon durim, bashkëpunim dhe vullnet për te vendosur te mirën e vendit mbi ambiciet personale.

Once again the U.S. ambassador in Tirana, Alexander Arvizu has urged Albania's political class to move ahead with reforms to democratize the country as the only path to European integration.
