Deepdan also has special significance on Kartik Purnima. It is believed that the full moon day of Kartik month is a day to appease the deities. Therefore, people donate lamps and get blessings of Gods on this day. Apart from this, Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi are also worshiped on Kartik Purnima.

कार्तिक पूर्णिमा पर दीपदान का भी विशेष महत्व है. माना जाता है कि कार्तिक मास की पूर्णिमा देवी-देवताओं को प्रसन्न करने का दिन है. इसलिए इस दिन लोग दीपदान कर देवताओं का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करते हैं. इसके अलावा कार्तिक पूर्णिमा पर भगवान विष्णु और माता लक्ष्मी की भी पूजा की जाती है.
