The Board of Control for Cricket in India has received over 2000 applications for the post of head coach of Team India. However, as per a report in Bangalore Mirror, there is a dearth of big names which could have possibly challenged incumbent Ravi Shastri.

టీమిండియా హెడ్ కోచ్‌తో పాటు బౌలింగ్, ఫీల్డింగ్ కోచ్ సహా పలు ఇతర విభాగాలకు చెందిన సిబ్బంది నియామకానికి బీసీసీఐ దరఖాస్తులను ఆహ్వానించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. కోచ్‌ల దరఖాస్తుల స్వీకరణకు ఆఖరి తేదీని జులై 30గా బీసీసీఐ నిర్ణయించింది. బీసీసీఐ నిర్ణయించిన గడువు ముగియడంతో హెడ్ కోచ్ పదవికి మొత్తం రెండు వేల దరఖాస్తులు వచ్చాయని తెలుస్తోంది.
