I remember when you were my last reason....all others had gone away....either graduated, hurt or left....I remember when you were the only reason I stayed....looked forward to the ride back and forth....at one point told myself....I'll wait and see what comes of it.....but in the end ran away to become someone else.....yeah now looking back I can see.....but then I didn't believe....so horrified that day we played in the street....by what came after when your Dad stuck up for me....I'm sorry I never told you....the shame was too great to bear....never told anyone how hard things were....didn't think it would of mattered....smoked my brains til I felt nothing....til I couldn't recall....but when I woke up what came to me....were the possibilities and I had walked away from all....I never forgot your face....your smile or the touch of your hand....just so thankful I can know you now....and that circumstances couldn't define who you or I am.............
