Hello again my friend
No longer needed to lure me there
Willingly showed up
Almost everyday that year
Reasons legitimate
So many for which I cared
Like a mission
With a goal shared

Conversation of what mattered
Oh how you mattered to me
Wanted to show you all that
Was beautiful and comforting
Surely you already knew
But it was different between us two
Taking on a life of its own
Like a movie only we had the view

Even now I remember
Little things you once said
Sometimes cry for their return
When I can't put them out of my head
But not so this morning
In fact a great laugh they gave
Realizing again how right you were
That my books were safe
