I hope in eternity
travel will be as quick as thought
no going thirty years without seeing a friend
or waiting until the car runs right
years of moving, letting go
as we left one place for another
so many times to dear friends said goodbye
forced to put out of my mind as if I wasn't bothered
but pieces of yesterday lost along the way
all I thought I'd never seen again
are slowing making their way back to me
one by one God's returning them to my hand
through tears of joy I write
another dear soul brought back into my life
her sweet smile brings back so much
really needed this today
and in my God's precious way
He reminds me I am loved
