This Friday, 2nd September, public voting opens for the final 22 projects – including Oasis Domestic Abuse Service, Kent which is competing for Best Voluntary / Charity Project
The Oasis Domestic Abuse Service offers emergency safe and temporary accommodation to women, and their children, suffering from domestic violence. As well as a safe house, it also provides an outreach and counselling service, a resettlement service and children’s support worker.
Funding from the National Lottery has been used to support victims and survivors of
domestic violence through an outreach programme. The programme has offered practical and emotional support to address the issues that have had significant and often traumatic impacts upon them and their children's lives.
