The 2nd September, public voting opens for the final 22 projects -iInclude Duchenne, London, competing for Best Education Project, in association with Best magazine

The project focuses on the behavioural and learning difficulties that often affect children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a progressive muscle wasting condition. The project features specialist learning assessments for 80+ children aged 6-12 yrs who follow a new custom-built online literacy programme called 'Decipha' which is based on the theme of time travel.
Children with Duchenne are at risk of dyslexia, ADHD and autism but these learning and behavioural difficulties have often been overlooked. National Lottery funding has paid for specialist teachers to assess children with Duchenne across the UK and train parents and schools on how to deliver the Decipha programme to assist their learning.
