This Friday, 2nd September, public voting opens for the final 22 projects -- including Sense Scotland a nationwide project, filmed in Glasgow - competing for Best Health Project, in association with iVillage.co.uk
Sense Scotland works with more than 1,000 deaf, blind+disabled people throughout Scotland. It provides a range of services including day care, short breaks, community living, advisory services and activities such as arts and outdoor pursuits.
The National Lottery funding has been used across several arms of Sense Scotland's work, from refurbishing some of the project's residential buildings and care homes to buying equipment and launching projectssuch as TouchBase, an accessible space for adults and children, including sensory rooms, arts and recording studios, a café and business centre.
