Today, Monday 26th July, Stepney Bank Stables has been named as a finalist in the 'Best Education Project Category' of the National Lottery Awards 2010. The awards recognise the amazing work being done by lottery-funded groups across the UK. The aim is to highlight the significant difference that projects - both large and small - make to communities everywhere and to celebrate the achievements of the people behind them.

Stepney Bank Stables’ primary purpose is to offer under-privileged and disabled children from one of the most deprived areas in the country the chance to ride, look after and learn about horses, and develop their social and practical skills in a manner that will lead to enhanced opportunities and expectations.

To vote for the Stepney Bank Stables project call 0844 6865540 or visit www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards. The winners will be announced 4th September on a live programme on BBC One.
