Labour MP Jo Stevens has been the target of vandalism in her Albany road-based offices after abstaining from a recent Gaza ceasefire vote in the UK parliament. Her party have been against the idea of a ceasefire, causing backlash against leader Kier Starmer from inside the Labour Party.
A man has been jailed for 13 years after knocking his partner to the ground before stamping on her face. 40 year old Jonathan Woods of Foundry Road in Tonypandy pleaded guilty to the assault, and left the victim with 17 facial injuries. Some outh Wales Police officers say it is the worst case of domestic assault they’ve seen.
UK Ministers are being urged to back proposals of a nuclear power station on Anglesey in order to keep up with energy targets. The new site at Wylfa has been touted as a preferred location in recent months by Prime minister Rish Sunak, after the original site of the same name ceased operations in 2015.
