Supporters of the Welsh air ambulance have threatened to stop donating to the charity if it goes forward with it’s controversial base closure plans. The charity are exploring closing down the Welshpool and Gwynedd bases, which the charity say will help them get to over 100 more emergencies a year.

Roughly three thousand farmers came together on Wednesday in protest of the Welsh government’s farm subsidies plan. Tractors closed roads around Cardiff, with protests taking place outside the Senedd. Tory and Plaid Cymru MS’s have called on the Welsh government to cancel their plans.

Sixteen Iron Age artefacts have been declared treasure after being found in a boggy field on Anglesey. The find included chariot fixings, a Roman copper ingot and a metal rams head. Ian Porter the detectorist who found the artefacts said he was ‘so excited’ that the last person to touch them was over 2000 years ago.
