A head teacher in Caerphilly has said that punishment alone is not enough to tackle the explosion of schoolchildren vaping. Richard Owen of Idris Davies School in Rhymney has said it is concerning, and has seen the trend grow considerably in the last few years. This week the UK government announced plans to ban vapes to deter children.
Litter pickers in Cardiff have raised concerns about plans to remove public bins around the city in an attempt to make up a 30 million pounds council deficit, calling the plans counter productive. Other suggestions have been to move household bin collections to every three weeks.
