Australian school students who won a competition to name the icebreaker RSV Nuyina visited Antarctica on Wednesday, November 22.
The trip involved flying the 12 students, St Virgil’s College in Hobart, Tasmania, and Secret Harbour Primary School near Perth in Western Australia, 6000km from Hobart to Wilkins Aerodrome. The children were the first to visit Antarctica as part of the Australian Antarctic Program.
