Dy pretendentet për kryetar, kane mbledhur ne te njëjtën kohe e ne ambiente te ndryshme mbështetësit e tyre. Këshilltaret e "Aleancës për te ardhmen" kane zgjedhur edhe nënkryetarin e dyte, Eduard Xhelilin. Nga ana tjetër këshilltaret e "Aleancës për qytetarin", nen drejtimin e demokratit Artur Shehu te zgjedhur kryetar afro dy muaj pas Ndrekes, kane diskutuar mbi disa projekte për zhvillimin e qarkut edhe ne prani te prefektit. Prej shtatorit te vitit te kaluar palët janë përballur ne afro 40 seanca gjyqësore ne te dyja shkallet, por ende nuk ka një vendim te formës se prere për çështjen ne themel. Tensionimi i klimës politike u pasua pak kohe me pare edhe me dhunimin e një këshilltari te majte brenda ambienteve te këshillit te qarkut.
