the Bush-Blair infamous consensus.

a ray of hope beaming from the U.S.
revealing the country’s human face,
giving new hope to the human race.

He is no messiah, just one of us,
the caring face of the U.S.
reaching out, seeking peace,
valuing kindness and justice.

America can atone for its sin of slavery,
for its past and present acts of infamy.
The blood of the innocents calls out to you:
‘Turn your back on the past and build anew.’

Obama, never compromise your humanity!
