Yesterday we get back from Mexico, and when entering the apartment, see a notice from the supreme court that we have until tomorrow morning to remove all of our belongings and leave the premises (the letter was only placed there the day earlier, giving us a total of 2 days). It is because our landlord is bankrupt.

He is out looking for a lawyer, as the housing council here said there is nothing they can do. I am afraid we will be forced to leave tomorrow.

We just had the apartments walls painted... build the new couch we just bought, which we'd have to unbuild to take out.

Wow, so hectic. So now we have to incur the cost of a lawyer? Moving our belongings? Finding somewhere to stay, being stressed, missing work... only because we signed a lease, paid our rent, and the agent never told us when we did that the landlord was filing bankruptcy.

What can we do? Will a lawyer be able to do something for us?
