Hundreds are feared injured after an explosion at a fertiliser plant near Waco in the US state of Texas.

Witnesses said the blast sent a massive fireball into the sky.

Buildings have been destroyed including a nursing home in which people are believed trapped inside.

Emergency services rushed to the scene as soon as the blast was reported at 8 o'clock in the evening local time.
