Hundreds of people plunged into the icy cold North Sea as part of a New Year’s Day tradition in the Dutch seaside town of Scheveningen.
The brave swimmers made a mad dash to the chilly waters, putting up with a weather temperature of just one degree Celsius.
The New Year’s Day tradition is said to have been started by a local swimming club in the 1960s.
