Severe flooding has left hundreds of people trapped in China's southern province of Fujian.

Roads in the area looked more like rivers after storms hit the region over the weekend. Water levels reportedly rose two metres, engulfing homes and businesses.

Emergency crews rescued those cut off by the cruel force of nature.
