"Vidyavachaspati" Prof Dr N N Murthy, Highly acclaimed Environmentalist, Poet and Crusader of Paryavaran Kavitodyamam leads Candlelight March at Vijayawada on 12 March 2010. He spoke on the occasion and explained the importance of Environment.

Candlelight March has been organized as a symbolic mark against Global Warming. This is one of the events of Paryavaran Kavitodyamam organized by Jagruthi Kiran Foundation in association with Malle Teega & Kadhakeli magazines. Over 100 poets, writers, cartoonists marched from Press Club to Alankar Centre with lighting candles silently.

Paryavaran Kavitodyamam started in May 2008 and many programmes have been organized as part this movement. Harita Kavita (Green Poem), Harita Kata (Green Story) are literary events, many other events organized such as awareness for school children, training to fishermen etc in last 20 months. Literatures on Environmental problems are useful in bringing awareness among people; Green Literature is need of the hour. Paryavaran Kavitodyamam is a new trend in modern Telugu literature.
