North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has been named marshal of the army, receiving the country's top military rank.

His new title, which puts him in charge of the armed forces, comes just two days after the dismissal of former military chief Ri Yong-ho.

The move sees Kim Jong-un adding to his array of titles and consolidating his power.
