Birmingham headlines 4 November: Police appeal after teenager stabbed in Grand Central
Police are appealing for anyone who was in Grand Central on Saturday 29th October after a fight broke out which left a teenager with knife wounds to his face and arm. Fortunately the wounds were not life threatening. Police wish to establish what exactly happened.
A teenager is in critical condition following a stabbing in Ladywood on Sunday 30th October. The 17 year old is in critical condition. An 18 year old man was arrested on Wednesday for attempted murder. A second boy of the same age was also taken to hospital.
MP Jess Phillips have defended her Brummie accent, calling it her greatest gift. The Labour MP for Yardley was joined by broadcaster Adrian Chiles from Quinton in defending the accent after a survey found that people in the Midlands were more likely to worry about the way they spoke than other UK regions.
