दशहरे के दिन शस्त्र की पूजा करने के लिए प्रात:काल स्नान–ध्यान करने के बाद विजय मुहूर्त में शस्त्रों को निकाल कर एक चौकी पर साफ कपड़ा बिछाकर रखें. इसके बाद शस्त्र को बेहद सावधानी के साथ साफ करके गंगाजल से पवित्र करें. इसके बाद शस्त्र का रोली, चंदन, अक्षत, पुष्प, धूप, दीप आदि से विधि–विधान के साथ पूजा करें. शस्त्र पूजा के समय भगवान श्री राम और मां काली के मंत्र का विशेष रूप से जाप करें. शस्त्र पूजा के बाद अपने बड़े–बुजुर्गों का विशेष रूप से आशीर्वाद लेना चाहिए.

To worship the weapon on the day of Dussehra, after bathing and meditating in the morning, take out the weapons in Vijay Muhurta and keep a clean cloth on a post. After this clean the weapon with utmost care and sanctify it with Gangajal. After this, worship the weapon with rituals with roli, sandalwood, akshat, flowers, incense, lamp etc. Specially chant the mantra of Lord Shri Ram and Maa Kali at the time of weapon worship. Special blessings of your elders should be taken after the weapon worship.
