Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray hit out at the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government, days after the Supreme Court said that issues involved in the Maharashtra petitions need to be referred to a larger bench for consideration. Thackeray told India Today, “We have full faith in the judiciary. If you look at the way this government is formed, it is absolutely illegal and against the Constitution of India.” Thackeray further added,“It is an absolutely immoral government, a government that believes in instability, and unfortunately if this becomes a precedent, this will be across the country, a lot of instability in our country.” When asked about the possibility of reconciliation of both Uddhav and Eknath Shinde faction, Thackeray said, “To those who have joined them betraying us, I have told them if you want to come back, the door is always open.” The court will decide on the matter during the next hearing, which is likely to be held on August 1.
