Shiv Sena has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party for the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra in the mouthpiece newspaper 'Saamana'. In the newspaper, Shiv Sena made a claim suggesting the rebel MLAs have sided with the BJP in fear of an Enforcement Directorate investigation. 

These claims have been made after Shiv Sena's prominent member, Eknath Shinde, fled to Guwahati with a team of rebel MLAs. It is speculated that Eknath Shinde might be supported by BJP to take this rebellious step.
