Malaysia’s worst floods in decades after extremely heavy rain on December 17 and 18 have killed at least 10 people and forced 61,000 people to flee their homes. Selangor, Malaysia’s most developed state, was the hardest hit by the flooding. The government was criticised for its delayed response as two of the biggest political parties, Bersatu and UMNO, continued their annual meetings.
