Flash floods devastated the area of Cilegon, Banten Province on Monday (April 4).

Footage shows fast-flowing water run through a residential area accompanied by damaged buildings and infrastructure.

The floods are said to have broken many bridges, buildings, and washed away numbers of cars.

The Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management stated that the flood was caused by torrential rain on the mountain area of Cilegon.
