Parsava Ekadashi will be celebrated across the country on Friday, 17 September 2021. It is also called Jaljulni or Dol Gyaras Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu sleeps for 4 months in Devshayani Ekadashi and hence these four months are called Chaturmas. These 4 months are considered to be the best for any religious work, charity, dakshina or devotion. Lord Vishnu, who has slept for 4 months, awakens on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi, but a time comes between these four months, when Lord Vishnu changes his side while sleeping. That time is the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Bhado month, which is also called Parshva or Parivartini Ekadashi. The Vamana form of Lord is worshiped on this day. Vamana Dev is one of the 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that all the wishes of the devotees who worship him with a sincere heart are fulfilled.

पार्श्व एकादशी 17 सितंबर शुक्रवार 2021 को पूरे देश में मनाई जाएगी. इसे जलझूलनी या डोल ग्यारस एकादशी भी कहा जाता है. देवशयनी एकादशी में भगवान विष्णु 4 महीने के लिए सो जाते हैं और इसीलिए इन चार महीनों को चातुर्मास कहा जाता है. कोई भी धार्मिक कार्य, दान दक्षिणा या भक्ति के लिए ये जो 4 महीने है, वो श्रेष्ठ माने जाते हैं. 4 महीने के लिए सोए हुए भगवान विष्णु देवउठनी एकादशी के दिन जागृत होते हैं, लेकिन इन चार महीनों के बीच एक ऐसा समय आता है, जब भगवान विष्णु सोते हुए करवट बदलते हैं. वो समय होता है भादो मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी का, जिसे पार्श्व या परिवर्तिनी एकादशी भी कहा जाता है. इस दिन भगवान के वामन रूप की आराधना की जाती है. वामन देव भगवान विष्णु के 10 अवतारों में से एक है. मान्यता है कि इनकी पूजा-अर्चना सच्चे मन से करने वाले भक्तों की सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती है.
