England’s talismanic all-rounder Ben Stokes proved to be the partnership-breaker again as he dismissed Rohit Sharma for 28 to end India’s 64-run opening partnership. The ball which got the Indian batsman out, though, was quite an ordinary one – short and wide which Rohit chased and edged, to be taken by wicketkeeper Jos Buttler. The wicket fell on the first ball of the 16th over. While the wicket-taking ball may not be much to shout about, the pressure built on the Indian batsmen by previous bowlers may have played a part in forcing Rohit to play the loose shot.


इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ पांचवें टी20 मुकाबले में बड़ी पारी खेलने वाले रोहित शर्मा का बल्ला खामोश रहा. पहले वनडे मैच में रोहित शर्मा सस्ते में पवेलियन लौट गए. रोहित शर्मा मात्र 28 रन बनाकर आउट हुए . उन्हें इंग्लैंड के ऑलराउंडर बेन स्टोक्स ने आउट किया. पर इससे पहले रोहित शर्मा और शिखर धवन ने भारत को एक अच्छी शुरुआत दिला दी. दोनों बल्लेबाजों ने पहले विकेट के लिए 64 रनों की साझेदारी की. रोहित शर्मा अच्छे फॉर्म में दिख रहे थे. लग रहा था कि बड़ा स्कोर करेंगे. पर जल्दबाजी कर बैठे. एक बाहर जाती गेंद को छेड़ने की वजह से अपना विकेट गंवा बैठे. बात भारत की पारी के 16वें ओवर की है. ड्रिंक्स ब्रेक के ठीक बाद इंग्लैंड ने बेन स्टोक्स को गेंदबाजी अटक पर लगाया.
