England all-rounder Ben Stokes cleaned Indian captain Virat Kohli with a ripper to bring an end to his resilience with the bat on Day 5 of the ongoing first Test in Chennai. Handed a massive target of 420 runs in their second innings, India lost the plot after a spectacular batting collapse in Chennai as Kohli led the fight almost single-handedly. Cheteshwar Pujara was the first to depart for 15 before Shubman Gill was dismissed by James Anderson after a fighting fifty. Anderson then got rid of Ajinkya Rahane on a duck with a ripper. Rishabh Pant (11) and Washington Sundar (0) were also dismissed cheaply as Kohli, who slammed 72 off 104 balls, failed to find support from the other end.
