Indian Railways fined a vending contractor of Rs 1 lakh after a video a person using toilet water to prepare tea surfaced on the internet. IRCTC issued a press release which stated that incident took place at Hyderabad Charminar Express in December 2017. Indian Railways issued a penalty of Rs 1 lkah to the contracting agency for the negligence. An inquiry was conducted and stringent action was taken on the basis of it, against the vendor in the video.
