Good afternoon. This year's Ipdong, the start of winter according to the traditional calendar, is the coldest Ipdong morning in 13 years with cold wave advisories in some inland regions. Seoul saw its first ice of the season. But the cold snap will be short-lived. There shouldn't be a major cold snap this weekend but nationwide rain in store on Sunday.
It should feel a bit milder as the day goes on. Afternoon highs will be similar to yesterday for upper regions but a tad cooler for the rest of the country.
Expect a big drop in readings on the day of Suneung, the college entrance exam day next Thursday... even the highs will be just 5 degrees Celsius...then next Friday morning is shaping up to be even colder with an expected low of minus 3 degrees here in the capital.
That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
