Good afternoon,... freezing temperatures will rise rapidly and by the afternoon,... Seoul will see readings in positive territory for the first time in eight days and readings will remain at the seasonal average until Friday.

For a closer look, Seoul will rise to 1 degree Celsius, Daegu and Gwangju will have similar highs to yesterday at 3 degrees Celsius.

The season's final cold snap is in store this weekend and it will linger until early next week. Winter will come to an end eventually... so take good care of yourself.

In fact, flu levels in the country are very high, washing your hands is the most effective measure to prevent contracting the virus.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

While those of us in Seoul will finally see afternoon highs rising back to near seasonal averages, most cities in North Korea are suffering from a harsh winter as four people have died and more than 81,000 have been infected with Influenza A since last month.

Meanwhile, a flu epidemic is raging nationwide in Japan with the number of patients in a single week estimated to have reached a record high 2.83 million last week.

Taking you to Europe,.. even in Britain, health officials recently reported the country was having its worst flu season in seven years.

Lastly to Africa, Tripoli and Algiers will be rainy and mild at a high of 18 degrees.
