ನವರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ದುರ್ಗಾದೇವಿಯ 9 ಅವತಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಎರಡನೇ ದಿನದಂದು ದುರ್ಗಾ ದೇವಿಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚಾರಿಣಿ ಅವತಾರವನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಸುದೀರ್ಘವಾದ ಪೂಜೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ದುರ್ಗಾದೇವಿಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚಾರಿಣಿ ಅವತಾರವನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತರು ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಜಿಸುವರು.
