The Transport Ministry will look into the possibility of introducing motorcycle ridesharing if Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman is able to convince the cabinet to agree to the proposal.
He said this when asked about the meeting between Putrajaya and Nadiem Makarim, the founder of Indonesian ridesharing company Gojek.
According to Loke, Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman will be bringing up the matter in cabinet from the perspective of youth employment.
Earlier today Syed Saddiq said that motorcycle ridesharing in Malaysia would create jobs for youths and enable them to upskill themselves and afford higher education.
