A North Korean boat carrying three crew members has been towed into a South Korean naval base... after the boat crossed the de facto inter-Korean maritime border late Saturday.
An official from South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said Sunday... those onboard had told South Korea's special forces who arrived at the scene... that the crew crossed the Northern Limit Line due to a "navigational error".
The official said a joint investigation team comprised of military and intelligence agencies are verifying the crew's identity and statements, and that one of the crew members was wearing a military uniform.
Currently the boat is being kept in a naval base in Yangyang , Gangwon-do Province.
