정부, 북측 목선 및 선원 3명 송환... "대공혐의점 없어"
South Korea has sent back three North Korean fishermen who crossed the inter-Korean sea border over the weekend.
Seoul notified the North this morning via the joint liaison office... and the crew and the fishing boat were handed over in the afternoon in the East Sea.
Late on Saturday, a North Korean boat with three crew members crossed the Northern Limit Line and entered South Korean waters.
The South Korean military towed the boat to a naval base... and questioned the crew.
It was found that while the boat does belong to the North Korean military,... the fishermen did not cross the border deliberately.
They claimed to have accidentally headed towards the South because they had no GPS and depended on a compass.
The military says the crew were civilians... and had fishing equipment, clothing and food onboard.
