Just when people hoped that Sharad Pawar would challenge BCCI president N Srinivasan's authority in the Board, the NCP chief has suffered a blow similar in nature to the Board honcho on his home turf, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
On Tuesday, a city civil court temporarily restrained Pawar from functioning as president of the MCA, giving him a week to appeal against the order. Like Srinivasan, Pawar too would be forced to 'step aside' from the cricket body till the court gives a final verdict on the matter.
