National Assembly speaker Moon Hee-sang and the floor leaders of the three parliamentary negotiation bodies gathered on Monday to discuss state affairs.
During their regular meeting, the leaders clashed over President Moon's replacement of the finance minister and his chief policy advisor, with the opposition criticizing the government for making an abrubt change at an important period when the parliament is reviewing next year's budget.
The ruling party claimed that the replacement is the right person at the right time.
The leaders also talked about keeping the deadline of the on-going budget screening and the ratification of the inter-Korean Panmunjeom declaration.
And they exchanged views on the specifics of how they will form the parliamentary sub-budget committee to screen the annual budget.
