The Taylor Creek Fire, the largest in the Garner Complex, had grown to 25,000 acres and was 20-percent contained by Tuesday, July 31, prompting officials to treat it as separate from the Garner Complex.
More than 1,000 people were evacuated in the Merlin and Grants Pass area by July 31, though no homes or structured were destroyed.
Officials reported that the fire was caused by lightning.
