A wildfire southeast of Bend, Oregon, burned through more than 10,000 acres in several hours on Wednesday, August 2.

The fire initially closed Highway 20, the main road through the area, but it was later opened, though traffic was slow, according to a news report. The Cinder Butte Fire was fueled by winds and, at one point, jumped the highway. Credit: Harney County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
