Washington Firefighters Battle Brush Blaze Sparked by Car Fire

Firefighters battled an 8-acre brush fire that sparked on July 29 from a car fire off a highway near Cle Elum, Washington, according to the Yakima Herald.

The Lower Cle Elum River fire broke out around 5:30 pm on Sunday, July 29, and was partly contained by the late evening. Fire crews were working to mop up hotspots on the morning of July 30, according to KREM

Jodie Van Diest told Storyful she took the video around 6 pm as she and her family were traveling home from a vacation. Officials closed the highway shortly after she took the video.
