Firefighters Deploy Helicopters to Fight Brentwood Brush Fire

A brush fire that started in Mandeville Canyon around midday on Sunday, May 28, expanded to around 30 acres with firefighters warning that it may take 36 hours to control the fire in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.

According to LAFD spokeswoman, Margaret Stewart, the fire started when the muffler of a weed whacker overheated.

At the time of writing the LAFD reported that the fire was not a danger to homes.

This video shows a helicopter dropping water or flame retardant on the blaze in Mandeville Canyon.
