Large crowds gathered outside a children’s hospital in Liverpool on April 12 in anger at a court ruling that a child on life support should have treatment withdrawn.
The child’s father live streamed a video on Facebook saying he had a right to remove his son from the hospital and to continue his treatment.
The 23-month-old boy, Alfie Evans, has been in a coma for more than a year suffering from a degenerative neurological condition that has not been definitively identified, local media said.
The Merseyside Police said they were monitoring the peaceful protests but that access to the hospital was disrupted. Credit: Ash Oven & Fresh Carpet via Storyful
