Samajwadi Party made a decisive lead on both seats in the UP bypolls of two Lok Sabha seats, Gorakhpur and Phulpur. BJP was second in the race behind SP, while in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections the BJP won with more than 3 lakh votes on both the Lok Sabha seats. SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav gave credit to the alliance with the BSP for this glorious return of the party.


यूपी की दो लोकसभा सीटों, गोरखपुर और फूलपुर, में हुए उपचुनाव के आए रुझानों में समाजवादी पार्टी ने दोनों ही सीटों पर निर्णायक बढ़त बनायी। BJP इन दोनों ही सीटों पर SP से पिछड़ते हुए दूसरे स्थान पर रही, जबकि इन दोनों ही लोकसभा सीटों पर 2014 में हुए लोकसभा चुनाव में भाजपा ने 3 लाख से ज्यादा वोटों से जीत दर्ज की थी। SP नेता राम गोपाल यादव ने पार्टी की इस शानदार वापसी का श्रेय BSP के साथ गठबंधन को दिया है।
