The first of the eight-phased election to District Development Council (DDC) and by-polls to panchs and sarpanchs in Jammu and Kashmir began on Saturday. The J K DDC elections voting began at 7 am at various polling booths. Multilayered security arrangements have been made for the DDC elections.
