Snow Falls Across North Carolina as Winter Storm Forms

A storm system dumped several inches of snow across North Carolina on Monday, March 12, as a nor’easter was expected to form off the coast.

Up to three inches of snow was expected as rain shifted to snow, according to the National Weather Service. More than six inches of snow fell in Blacksburg, Virginia, the weather service said.
