A tropical storm brought deadly flooding and landslides to the southern Philippines on Friday, December 22.

ABS CBN reported that three people died and six were missing after Tropical Storm Vinta (known internationally as Tembin) slammed into the southern Philippines island of Mindanao. Vinta was forecast to track west across the Sulu Sea and cross Palawan Island on Saturday.
