Batata Bhujna is a spicy and tasty Indian potato curry where potato slices are marinated in aromatic spices, chopped onions and then cooked in little water to get a nice curry. This is an easy to make potato recipe that is best for lunch and dinner!
Ingredients:
1/2 kg Potato, diced
3 Onions, chopped
1 tbsp Ginger, chopped
1 tbsp Garlic, chopped
1 Cup Coriander Leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
4 tbsp Oil
Water
Salt to taste
Method:
- In a large bowl add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and oil.
- Add diced potatoes and mix everything well. Make sure the potatoes are coated with the masala.
- Heat a pan. Add this mixture to the pan and mix well.
- Add water and again mix well. Cover it with a lid and let the potatoes cook for 10 minutes.
- This potato curry is served with chapati or steamed rice.
